Gosainkunda Trek is equally famous among both the domestic and international tourist in Nepal, for Gosainkunda Trek takes you to the holiest Lake for the Hindu people i.e. Gosainkunda Lake and the place we go throughout the Gosainkunda Trek is extremely beautiful too. Gosainkunda Lake is considered is very holy because of its attachment with Lord Shiva, the highest in Hindu religion hierarchy and thousands of local and Indian along with many tourist of other nation of Hindu belief visit this place to pay their homage. On the other hand non Hindu tourist visit Gosainkunda area in equal number because of its excitingly beautiful landscape and Lakes.
Gosainkunda Trek will take you to the maximum height of 4,610m. The route first connects from Kathmandu to Trishuli by road and then from Trishuli to Dhunche again by road. From Dhunche our trekking will start and our adventure of Gosainkunda Trek will continue for next 14 days. First of all we’ll trek from Dhunche to Helambu on the Sinchupalchowk district and then on to the high Gosainkunda pass, through the rugged trail with unbelievable views of Himalchuli (7893m) Manaslu (8156mm) and Ganesh Himal (7406m). On a clear day the place offers us the fantastic scenery of the Annapurna Range rising in the north behind the valley of Langtang Lirung. We’ll cross few huts in the high settlement of Laurebina and cross a small ridge, from where we have first glimpse of the Holy Lakes of Gosainkunda. Gosainkunda region has about a dozen frozen lakes among which the main three giants are Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda.
Early at 6am the private jeep and Guide and supporter team arrive at Pastali and then we drive to Dhunce with beautiful mountain and country side views, arrived at Dhunche after 7-8 hours. stay at Dhunch.
Dhunche to Sing Gompa (3330m)
After breakfast start the first day of trekking passing Schools and gompas the trail climb up the steephill. The trail further proceeds through the forest of hemlock and oak to the top of ridge at Foprang Danda. Climbing and passing the government agriculture office you will reach to Sing Gompa which is the main attraction of Chandan Bari. O/N at Sing Gompa.
Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4460m)Via Lauirbina Yak (3920m)
From Sing Gompa the trail climbs gradually up to Chalang pati (3650m). From Chalang pati, you views of Langtang Lirung, the Mountains edging Tibet and the majestic forest full of rhododendron and pine. The trail ascends to Laurebina Yak pass and finally we reach to beautiful Lake Gosaikunda. O/N in Gosaikunda
Gosaikund to Tharepati (3640m) Via Gopte (3440m)
The trail leads to the northern side of Gosaikunda Lake, crosses a moraine, passing three more small lakes; you will reach Laurebina La (4610m). The trail descends to a National Park Post at Bhera Goth (4240m) and to Phedi (3740m). From Phedi the route drops and climbs through scrub bamboo to Dupichaur (3630m) and descends to Ghopte and after Gopte Descending from Ghopte the trail makes several ups and down across moraines, then makes a final ascent to Tharepati observing the fine scenery along the path. O/N at Tharepati.
Tharepati to (3640m) Gul Bhanjyang (2140m)
From Tharepati the trail precedes passing through forests, to Magen Goth (3420m) and to Panghu. The trail descends through fir and rhododendron forest observing the view of beautiful and glittering peaks on its way to Khutumsang (2450m). The trail descends to the delightful hill village of Gul Bhanjyang. O.N at GulBhanjyang.
Gul Bhanjyang to Kathmandu
After early breakfast we start our Last day of trekking about 2 hours and take local bus to Kathmandu.
Two people will go airport direct and rest will spent night at Thamel.
